ICYMI: A Recap of Meetup 2019
The annual iQmetrix Meetup brought nearly 400 people to the Gaylord Rockies Resort in Aurora, CO. And gosh, did we have a good time in the Rocky Mountain Empire!
Have you grabbed your tickets to Meetup 2020 yet?
Welcome to Centennial State
We kicked off #iQMeetup 2019 with a Pool Party sponsored by Tessco and a Golf Tournament sponsored by Cellhelmet all before heading into our Rocky Mountain Casino Welcome Reception. It was great to see some familiar faces and meet a https://www.iqmetrix.com/meetupof new people too! And while the stakes were high at some of the tables (thanks for the playing cards, TracPoint!), your only loss was if you didn’t do the local beer tasting.
Day One: High Rollers, Hot Tech, and Throwing it Back to ‘99
The next morning our iQmetrix Welcome Video woke everyone up, giving the crowd goosebumps over how much has happened over the past 20 years. After that reflection, we jumped into the iQmetrix Keynote to talk about what’s new and what’s next. You can watch that video here.
But the real showstopper was Molly Bloom and her keynote on “How to Make Every Customer Feel Like a High Roller.” What a fascinating and inspiring story! Be sure to check out her Oscar-nominated movie, Molly’s Game, if you haven’t already.
We didn’t think it could get better than Molly, but the thought-provoking content and round-tables continued throughout the day. Thank you so much to all of our speakers for bringing together the best content we’ve ever had!
But hey – it’s all about a work-life balance, so we did the running man right into the “Throwback to ‘99” party, sponsored by Statflo. Be sure to check out the recap video for some dance move inspiration. need external link of 90s video
Day Two: Have You Ever Seen a Shark In Denver?
Robert Herjavec was our keynote presenter on Meetup day two. And while us Canadians know him from Dragon’s Den, most people likely know him as one of the nicer lead Sharks on Shark Tank. You may also recognize Robert from his moves on Dancing with the Stars. And while his rhythm is impressive, we think he makes a better businessman than a dancer.
But the incredible content didn’t stop with Mr.Herjavec’s keynote! We hosted jam-packed sessions all day.
“This is exactly why I come to these events - that 5G presentation hit me right in the face. I really DO need to start preparing for 5G!”
– an attendee excited about the future of retail after seeing our presentation on the Impact of 5G
Outside of the Meetup classroom, attendees also had fun in the Meetup Market. We were able to raise close to $6,000 for various charities including Look Good Feel Better, Make A Wish, Surfrider Foundation, and Girls Who Code while shoppers could take home a memento they purchased with their pre-loaded Meetup Money “credit cards.”
It’s Not a Goodbye, it’s a See You Later
While we never wanted the event to end, it came time to say farewell. And true to form in staying informative and fun, the iQmetrix team had a cocktail reception in the Vendor Showcase, sponsored by Rebiz. Did we mention this was our first time bringing back the Vendor Showcase in a couple of years? Attendees loved having the opportunity to meet with existing vendors and strike up conversations with new ones.
Thank you to all of our attendees, speakers, sponsors, and staff that made this event happen. However, without catching our breath coming down from those Rocky Mountain altitudes, we’re already deep into the planning of #iQMeetup 2020! Next year’s event will be heading to Austin, TX September 20th to the 22nd. And in true Texas form, the event promises to be bigger and better than ever.
