iQmetrix Highlight Reel: Our Top 4 Moments of 2019
It’s been one heck of a year for iQmetrix!
While it’s hard to believe that 2019 is over, we’re excited to see what 2020 (and the next decade) has in store. We’re thinking back on our favorite moments of the last 365 days, and most of them have been times spent with the iQmetrix community — that’s you!
From starting the year off with drinks and delicious food at Momofuku, to ending it on the 73rd floor of the Intercontinental looking over downtown LA, and all the incredible experiences in between, here’s a peek the top 4 events that give us a fond chuckle each time we think of them.
January 2019 | CES Cocktail Reception at Momofuku
CES puts the best and brightest of the tech community under one roof and stands back to watch some tech magic happen. Kind of like how parents put their kids in a sandbox and hopes they’ll play nicely together, but way better.
Organized by the Consumer Technology Association, this annual trade show presents what’s new and what’s next in tech, and this year’s event had an jam-packed agenda full of topics from automotive to health & wellness, 5G and the Internet of Things, to advertising, entertainment, and content. We teamed up with Sourcely to host a cocktail hour for some snacks, mingling, and a chance for attendees to talk shop. Hosted at the Momofuku in the Cosmopolitan, so many great conversations and laughs were had.
May 2019 | iQmetrix Bootcamp in Chicago
If the photos below are any indication, we had FUN at this year’s Bootcamp!
Two days filled with educational content to improve all business operations, networking opportunities to pick the minds of others in the industry, and (of course) parties at the end of the day to reward a long day of learning! Whether you’re new to RQ or are a seasoned veteran, Bootcamp has something to offer everyone – our experts at iQmetrix made sure to tailor their sessions so that actionable takeaways could be applied the minute you left, so that you and your team could become power users of RQ.
We’re gearing up for next year’s Bootcamp already, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for more deets in the new year!
October 2019 | MWCLA Reception at Spire 73
We can’t list our favorite events of 2019 and not talk about MWCLA.
While there was tons of amazing moments at this year’s Mobile World Congress LA (including Stacy Hamer’s amazing panel about the IoT), the highlight of our trip to LA was the one unforgettable night under the LA skyline at Spire 73 – the highest open bar in the Western hemisphere. In true iQmetrix style, we had to extend this party well past the end time because the fun could not, would not, be contained. Sounds of the Reverend Doctors beautiful voice filled the fresh LA air as we laughed, ate, and reconnected with friends in the industry.
September 2019 | iQmetrix Meetup in Denver
We saved the best for last.
September is a month our entire team always looks forward to, and this year was no exception. We celebrated 20 years together under the fresh mountain air in Aurora, CO, donned 90’s attire to party like it was 1999, and had our mind’s blown by the Princess of Poker herself, Molly Bloom. It might be the understatement of the decade to say it, but we’re saying it anyway: This year’s Meetup was one for the books!
The iQmetrix Meetup is our favorite time of the year. A reunion of friends we’ve made throughout the past 20 years, and so many memories made with new ones! Conversations about the future of retail, 5G, and the best practices for creating great experiences, our speakers brought their A-game, no doubt, and inspired thought-provoking conversations and frenzied note-taking throughout the day.
We also raised nearly $6,000 for various charities including Look Good Feel Better, Make A Wish, Surfrider Foundation, and Girls Who Code while shoppers could take home a memento they purchased with their pre-loaded Meetup Money “credit cards.”
We couldn’t have asked for a more stellar Meetup to round out the decade. For those in attendance, thank you so much for the best times. And for those that missed out this year, we will see you next year!
2019, you’ve been good to us
