iQmetrix Named on Canada’s Top Employers List for 2019
VANCOUVER, BC — April 12, 2019—iQmetrix is proud to announce that we have once again been named one of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers for 2019.
Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers is an editorial competition that recognizes small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that offer the nation’s best workplaces and forward-thinking human resources policies. Constantly working to create an environment where employees can thrive, iQmetrix is pleased to have been awarded as one of these top employers.
“Great things are never done by one person, they’re done by a team of great people. We are so honored to be receive the Canada’s Top Employers award. iQmetrix exists to create great experiences, starting first with our people,” says Krystal Ho, iQmetrix Director of Corporate Relations. “While we certainly appreciate this recognition, we are even more thankful to be surrounded by the dedicated, smart, humble iQmetrix employees who work together each day to create the culture of innovation, support, growth, and fun that has warranted us being named one of the nations top employers.”
Businesses nominated to be a part of the Top Small & Medium Employers were evaluated by the editors at Canada’s Top 100 Employers using the same criteria as the national competition: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement. Employers were compared to other organizations in their industry to determine which offer the most progressive and forward-thinking programs. The annual competition is open to any employer with its head office or principal place of business in Canada. Employers must have less than 500 employees worldwide, including employees at any affiliated companies, and be a commercial, for-profit enterprise.
“The companies that make this list are fast-growing employers that need to innovate rapidly,” says Richard Yerema, Managing Editor of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. “Some have doubled in size over the past year, but all of them are looking for new ways to attract the best and brightest employees so they can keep growing. Many compete in high technology fields, where the race to scale-up isn’t just a matter of ambition – it’s a matter of survival.”
“The SME competition is very much the laboratory of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project,” adds Anthony Meehan, Publisher at Mediacorp. “It’s the place where we often see new kinds of HR initiatives and workplace policies being tested – before they are adopted at larger employers. Many of this year’s winners offer the kind of benefits once found only at big companies, but they have the flexibility to go beyond these and offer unique HR initiatives for their employees.”
